Save a Life and Get Free Basketball Tickets From Nothing but Nets
The new anti-malaria campaign, Nothing but Nets, is out just in time for the holiday season and really is the gift that keeps on giving. For a very small donation, you can save a life, or two, gift a gift to a friend, and get two free tickets to a basketball game. The more lives you protect, the more basketball tickets you get. Win, win win!! Malaria is estimated to kill one child every 30 seconds. This is a crying shame considering that a simple, (cheap) bed net will drastically reduce that number. Now the NBA is getting involved with the United Nations Foundation in...

Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize Includes Climate Change Hopes
It’s safe to say that the Nobel committee is betting on America to help lead on a number of issues. The award this morning of President Barack Obama for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize is more an affirmation of the hope and diplomacy such a person can bring to the world, and less a pat on the back for his past achievements. Whether or not this complicates Obama’s agenda is an entirely different matter. One thing we do know is that committee also recognized the President for his position on climate change. “Thanks to Obama’s initiative, the USA is now playing...
2 DIRTY 4 COLLEGE
That’s the new ad for our Campuses Beyond Coal campaign, which is targeting universities and colleges and working with college students to kick coal off campus. Over the past several years there’s been an uproar from students coast-to-coast who are building the clean energy future right on their campuses. These students are ready to be done with coal – and it’s no surprise the call to action is coming from this particular generation. On the 2008 presidential campaign trail, college students frequently led the way for then candidate Barack Obama. The millenial generation is powerful, and they are shaping the future...
