JANELLE MONAE TO HEADLINE GREEN CAMPUS CONSCIOUSNESS TOUR
Grammy-nominated Janelle Monáe is about to embark on an environmentally-themed campus tour, thanks to non-profit Reverb. Reverb has invited Ms. Monáe to join its latest Campus Conscious Tour (CCT). In addition to educating and mobilizing students, the tour includes many greening elements and is run to have a minimal environmental footprint. The first bands have been announced for this year’s eco music festival Rocking the Daisies at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, Western Cape. The National Environment Agency’s (NEA) Eco Music Challenge 2011 wrapped up with a bang with the Finale Concert at Orchard Central on 27 August 2011.
