Platinum Dirt is a new line of jackets transforming the leather industry started by Dustin Page and Aaron Parrish. These one of a kind jackets are handmade out of reclaimed vintage auto upholstery from the genuine leather interiors of old Cadillacs, Lincolns, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar and more. One car becomes one jacket, a soul of sorts, where once the car is retired from the road forever, it is reincarnated as a VIN Jacket. Each jacket tells its own rich history, exudes its own character, and commands the stage with a VIN plate embedded on the chest.

Both environmentally conscious yet still upholding that rough, don’t mess with me exterior, VIN jackets are specifically designed for the progressive and fashion forward crowd.

Despite the jacket’s avant-garde appeal, the essence of Platinum Dirt can be summed up into one phrase: Mean and Green. “A Platinum Dirt jacket is a fighter, one who can take a lot of punches and still come out on top looking good” states Aaron, describing what characterizes the Mean that is Platinum Dirt. “The few war wounds visible not only make it hot, but raw; polished, yet tough.” The hood ornament zipper pull, VIN breast plate, and uniquely patterned interior lining add to the jacket’s distinct edge. Reusing leather stripped from vintage cars makes the jackets Green, environmentally friendly, and ensures that our landfills will be that much lighter.
