Named for the seven layers of a skateboard, Seven Ply, which uses recycled decks to create eclectic baubles, was founded in 2007 by skate enthusiast Lynn Weiler. “My mission was to breathe new life into these seven layers and convert this scuffed up boy toy into something beautiful,” says Weiler. Broken and tattered boards, which are rescued and accumulated by surf and skate shops, are subsequently hand-picked, cut, sanded, and sealed into one of a kind accessories.
