The Samsung Restore comes with a laundry list of green features: 100% recyclable packaging (including a cardboard box made out of 70% post consumer materials and printed with soy ink), an Energy Star Version 2.0 qualified energy efficient charger, an online user manual (replacing the paper version), and strict RoHS compliance.
Perhaps most importantly, the Restore doesn’t skimp on quality in favor of sustainability. The device comes with a slide-out QWERTY, 2.0 megapixel camera and camcorder, MP3 player with microSD card slot (supports up to 32 GB), Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, Sprint Navigation and Sprint TV, among other features. It’s no competition for the iPhone or HTC Incredible, but it’s not a throwaway phone, either.
The Restore will go on sale this summer for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
