Strictly For the TATTED UP GREENIES
This is for all you already-tatted up kids. Dont get it twisted, I’m not trying to get on anyone’s mom’s bad sides. So if you don’t have multiple tattoos don’t read this. And if you do reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad onnnnnnn. Since you won’t ever allow a worthless memo to stick to your person, getting something tattooed on your body, permanently or temporarily, speaks a lot about your gut feelings right?. So, if one gets inked with a green shape, it definitely reflects his or her eco-sense. Right? Well just how green are you? Here, we’re providing you with a full index of...
ECO INSPIRED POLAROID PHOTOGRAPHY
It seems like there are polaroid photographers everywhere these days. There are so many different types of subject matters a photographer can choose to shoot. Sometimes we try a little too hard to find the perfect photo, the interesting photo, the cool photo with the cool angle, the anti photo… What I like most about these photos is that this subject matter exists everywhere. And by that I mean NATURE.   You don’t have to travel across the world to appreciate the environment around you (sure some places might make you appreciate it more) and you don’t have to drag...
YES YOU CAN!
Recently I had a conversation with KEN FRIEDMAN, part owner of THE SPOTTED PIG (alongside JAY Z, MARIO BATALI, and various others). KEN had mentioned that he was interested in converting the gas tank of his car to a vegetable oil friendly tank. Our conversation caused me to start researching for him. But no boring talk for you kids. Watch this...
TONGUE & CHEEKY
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend (fair trade and conflict free, of course!). But what about the metals used to set the sparkling wonders? Mining is a dirty business – both for the workers and the surrounding area. And with enough gold and silver in existence to handle worldwide demand for the next 40 years, why continue to disturb the earth for superfluous precious metals? There’s no need to feel guilty about your jewelry obsession with Cheeky Monkey Jewelry – an adorable line of pendants using recycled metals and fair-trade stones. We can’t help but linger over their extensive selection...
Cassette Tape Lamps Add Warm Analog Glow to Any Room
Although they may hold nostalgic value for some, cassette tapes are bulky, have poor sound quality, lack large format album artwork, and a stacked up collection of them just doesn’t have the je ne sais quoi as a crate full of vinyl. To keep this 80’s technology out of the landfill, ooomydesign has used old cassette tapes to create a series of gorgeous glowing lamps. Ooomydesign’s cassette tape lamps are linked together with plastic ties and are available in various sizes of floor and table lamps. The x-ray view in the lamps made from clear tapes is a really nice...
