LEBRON JAMES Supports NIKE Re-Use A Shoe

81

Back when the site first started we posted an article on Nike’s Reuse A Shoe program. Just to re-cap: Reuse-A-Shoe collects worn-out athletic shoes of any brand from a variety of sources, including end of life shoes collected through a variety of recycling programs, special events and at Nike or other stores, and then uses the processed kicks (turned into “NIKE GRIND”) to build community atheltic courts for kids.

It was no surprise to us that when we caught up with LEBRON JAMES’ FAM at a dinner at LA ESQUINA did we come to find that LEBRON is one of the campaign’s biggest supporters. In fact, LEBRON has been on site at a majority of the court launches which he often supports in connection with his own LEBRON JAMES FAMILY FOUNDATION.

Most recently NIKE RAS along with JAMES unveiled 5 community basketball courts in New Orleans stating, “”Our goal is to help bring sport back to New Orleans and help the youth of the city get active and play sports.”

Very cool LEBRON. Keep up the work on and off the court.

*Don’t forget to visit www.nikereuseashoe.com when you need to find out where you can drop your old kicks off to get recycled.
