Yesterday we saw the short-lived hubbub about Greenpeace draping an Obama poster over Mount Rushmore in order to call attention to Climate Activism by the G8. They’ve followed up with this video that shows the behind the scenes view of the action. So, what did the action actually accomplish?

Reality is, probably nothing other than to make a lot of people very aware of Greenpeace’s stance on putting a fire under leaders in the G8. The action alone isn’t much, but the example Greenpeace set for being very visual and very vocal about the urgency of climate change does help us all out in the broader scheme of things.
