IT’S GRIND TIME AGAIN!!!!!
Calling all emcees, singers and producers: The 2009 Grind for the Green Hip-Hop Competition is here!!! Grind for the Green is a 100% solar-powered annual hip hop concert designed for and organized by youth.
The GRIND FOR THE GREEN competition is looking for talented artists ages 14-24 with a positive message to compete in this year’s eco-music festival competition and be a part of the largest youth green hip-hop event series.
“Two lucky contestants (one emcee and one producer) will win $500 each and will have their music featured on the upcoming G4G documentary. If you are interested in entering our competition please email your mp3 song or beat to Ambessa Cantave at ambessa.negus@gmail.com by June 30, 2009 at 5 p.m. Be sure to include your legal name, artist name, age and title of your song or beat in the email. Email submissions missing this information will be automatically disqualified.”
Also please note the following RULES for submissions:
All songs must be clean,
All songs must contain a message about the environment, justice or have a positive statement.
All songs must be under 3min45sec in length.
All songs must be totally original in production and lyrics (no commercially released instrumental or sample).
Songs will also be judged by quality of message, lyrics and instrumental.
